Every girl dreams of wearing the perfect dress on her wedding day. I was no exception. I went to San Francisco, San Jose and even Sacramento to look for a dress. I was frustrated and my mom was tired of following me around as I shook my head gown after gown. Finally she said, “Maybe what you are looking for is closer than you think.” And on an early Saturday morning in February we drove to the local bridal shop Campus Bridal in Salinas where I am from. I am happy to say, thanks to her suggestion and the help of the staff at Campus Bridal I finally got everything I was looking for far and wide.
The owner of the shop has over 20 years of experience in weddings and was always very nice and helpful. She gives you her best advice unlike other bridal shops that just try to sell you more accessories. She will never encourage you to do something that would not benefit you.
She realizes how important this day is and does her best to make you feel like a princess. I had a vision of what kind of dress I wanted, but the staff made suggestions that fit my body type and looked even better than the gowns I tried on at the big impersonal bridal boutiques.
The staff’s every suggestion was spot-on, not only for what was the best dress, but also for what fit my personality. They helped me chose my beautiful shoes, jewelry, and a longer, more elaborate veil.
It was incredible how they worked around my schedule to have it done and even went in to the shop on their day off. I couldn’t imagine getting married in any other gown, and I love that I was able to support such a wonderful, small-town business in the process.
